Imagine your students finally seeing maths as something real, not just something that lives in a textbook.
...without you spending your weekend hunting for "real world" examples yourself 😅
Classroom maths is often so conceptual that students struggle to see the point of what they're learning, questioning when they'll ever use it in "real life." These photo prompts fix that, giving your students real opportunities to apply their maths knowledge in ways that are actually relevant to their everyday lives.

Hi, I'm Jess
... and I want to tell you why I started snapping photos all around Sydney for my maths lessons.
For years, I taught maths lesson after lesson and heard the same question over and over: "When are we ever going to use this?"
I had good answers on paper. But on paper is exactly the problem. My students could follow the steps on a worksheet, then walk straight past the same maths on a bus timetable or a price tag without even noticing it was there.
Then I started taking my phone out on the school run, at the shops, down at the harbour, and photographing the maths I was seeing everywhere. A parking sign became a lesson on elapsed time. An ice-cream menu became a money problem.
Classroom maths is often more conceptual than it is practical. These photos are what closes that gap.
Every photo comes with three levels of questions, so every student has an entry point, and a "write your own question" prompt to stretch the ones who finish early.
That's why I built this bundle. So your students can stop asking "when will I use this" and start noticing maths is already all around them.
YES! I need this!
