Instructions

Setting up

  1. Open "Customise round" to choose how many big numbers will be added to the mix. You can choose from 0 to 4 big numbers.

    NOTE: The more big numbers, the harder it is to solve!

  2. Tick the box if you'd like a timer, and adjust the time limit using the +/− buttons.
  3. Hit "Start" to generate your numbers and target.

Playing

  1. Students add, subtract, multiply and divide the numbers to reach the target, or get as close as possible, using each number once.
  2. They can work it out on paper, or you can talk through it together using the box below.

    NOTE: Numbers can be crossed out as they're used, simply click the number, so you can keep track along the way.

  3. Click "Reveal solution" when you're ready to check answers. Remember, there's usually more than one way to make the target number, not just the one shown.
  4. Hit "Start" again whenever you want a new round.
