Hi, I'm Jess
The first 5 minutes of a lesson can make or break everything that follows.
For years I'd take the roll and launch straight into the lesson. No warm-up, no lead-in, just straight to the hard stuff.
And every time, I'd lose a chunk of the class before we'd even started. The kids who found maths hard would shut down before they'd picked up a pen.
So I changed how I opened every lesson. I made the first task exciting, I made sure every student could get going straight away, and I made sure every answer — right or wrong — got celebrated in front of the class.
Those 5 minutes changed everything. Students walked into the rest of the lesson already feeling capable, and that carried through everything we did next.
That's why I built this pack — so you can run those same first 5 minutes in your own classroom, without any of the prep.
YES! I need this!
