I love how easy this is to prepare and print. While I found that some of my students really struggle with figurative language, they still engaged with and enjoyed this resource. I found that splitting my learners into pairs or groups and allowing them to discuss gave me the best (and most amusing) answers. Each group gets the same card and once complete we would discuss and then build a display with their individual answers. They loved it, and I loved how it helped them better understand and improved their writing.

My students loved using this resource. They are a tough bunch to keep on task, but the structure and the images chosen were great. Students at all levels were able to come up with ideas and for that I am very grateful. The fact that you have several images is excellent because I was able to model one as a whole-class before they went off and completed a few alone. As with all your resources, super aesthetically pleasing which if nothing else makes ME happy! I will use this resource many times over. Thank you!

Maths Warm-Up: Broken Calculator

Maths Warm-Up: Broken Calculator

This is one of those maths warm-ups that looks simple at first, but don't let that fool you because it gets students thinking flexibly, sharing strategies, and proving there's rarely just one way to tackle a maths problem.
Maths Warm-Up: Maths O'clock

Maths Warm-Up: Maths O'clock

If your students enjoy sharing different ways to solve a problem, they'll love this activity. This low-prep maths warm-up turns a simple clock face into a creative challenge that gets everyone thinking.
Maths Warm-Up: Msytery Digits

Maths Warm-Up: Msytery Digits

Some of the best maths conversations happen when there's more than one correct answer. That's exactly why this is one of my favourite maths warm-ups. It's a low floor, high ceiling activity that gets every student thinking, no matter where they're at.
