Chain Challenge

Chain Challenge from Transum.org is a free, engaging maths warm-up that gets students focused, thinking, and excited to participate.

How It Works

Show your students the sequence of calculations for the Chain Challenge. They work through each step in order, picking their answers from the options provided, and try to complete it against the clock.

Top Tip: To keep everyone involved, have students try their answers on mini-whiteboards before going through the solutions together on the IWB.
