Wipe Out Game
If you’re looking for a maths game that really hooks students, you’ve got to try Wipe Out. It’s quick, lively, and always gets students on their toes while practising their number skills.
How It Works
Give each student a mini whiteboard and ask them to write 6 random one-digit numbers. Call out a math equation, and students check if the answer is one of their numbers. If it is, they erase it. The first student to wipe out all their numbers wins!
Example:
Call out an equation like (5 × 2) − 3 = 7. If a student has 7 on their mini whiteboard, they erase it.
Equations you can try:
-
2 + 7
-
15 − 8
-
6 × 1
-
18 ÷ 3
-
9 + 0
-
20 − 17
-
3 × 5 − 10
-
10 ÷ 2 + 3
-
(5 × 3) − 12
-
8 + 7 − 14
